Katherine Heigl has opened her mind about being raised in a "white bubble" and how the realisation has impacted how she raises her adoptive multiracial children. In an interview with she spoke about the "Firefly Lane", as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actress admitted that her appearance didn't concern her. However, when having a conversation with her adoptive sister from South Korea about how society had treated them, she was conscious of the differences they were. Meg was asked if the way she was treated differed in the times they went out with their parents and then when they went alone. She said: 'Oh Sure, I've witnessed everything I've seen it all! Heigl admitted to parents, "That made me realise how foolish I was." Heigl admitted she became frustrated and thought it was important to focus her anger towards helping her adoptee daughters. Heigl shares a son of 4 years with Josh Kelley, her husband for 13 years. They were adopted by Nancy Leigh from South Korea at the age of 12 in 2009. then Adalaide aged 8 who is now young and Black as of 2012.
