April Lockhart
April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She began piano and guitar lessons in seventh grade. This sparked the interest of her. When she was 12 years old, April wrote her first song Different. When she was 14 April was devoted for a long period of her time creating song concepts and practicing her music. Then, in the following months, April began to go on trips with her dad and write at home in NY as well as LA. The month also saw her include other related topics for some of her classmates who struggle with such things as social pressure and teenage suicide as depicted in the song"Take my Hand. Lockhart is a partner at the well-known Clean Beauty brand Ilia as well as an influencer in the lifestyle industry who has a growing fan base. She has a disability that is a component of her persona, however it's not all of the image. As a result Lockhart's Instagram page isn't afraid to talk about her disability, but it doesn't center around the issue as well. What message is it sending? that we are all a part of a multitude that our identities are complex and we're greater than the physical person we are. Lockhart speaks through video from Nashville. "I do not want it to define my personal life. I do not want to only be known as a disability expert. It doesn't affect my daily life. Everything is normal and I've learned how to adapt. But, I consider it a very important aspect of me. Her journey to self-acceptance is one that will last for a long time, and she has been a source of inspiration for this purpose. Still she admits she's gone through periods of being uncomfortable with her body and sometimes not being confident in wearing specific types of clothes that showed the arms of her. She now wears any outfit she wishes and shares pictures on Facebook with pride. Self-love, according to her, is a kind of journey. "I don't think you'll ever get in that place," she said. However, that is typical for people that is prone to doubts. People you associate yourself with, who know you, and can see inside your soul are the most important people to help you remember what you're concerned about.
