Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, the French city of Puy-deDomme on August 9, 1976. Audrey is the largest child among four children. Audrey's parents, both a dental dentist as well as a teacher, understood and supported their daughter's enthusiasm for acting and drama on the age of a stage novice. The support they provided was enough to thwart her initial goal of becoming a primatologist. A quick and successful start to success as well as a swift increase in recognition was a sign of her development as an actor. When she graduated in 1998, her studies, she was able to participate in Jeunes Premiers, a French show on TV that is a talent-scouting initiative, which is that was sponsored by Canal+. There she received the award for best Young Actress in the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. It was this that led her to begin her professional acting career. Tautou was a student at in the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris in her youth and was a student there from young age she has since renounced her Catholic upbringing. The actress says she is not a Catholic. As well as her acting profession she started a modelling career. Also, she is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. She also has a serious passion for photography. She recently exhibited her work at the Arles Festival with the name Superficial. The focus of her photography is celebrities, fame and the press that scrutinised her following her emergence on the scene with Amelie. Also, she has numerous photographs of herself. Audrey Tautou's worldwide popularity and success exploded following her appearance in the film as Amelie Poulain's lead woman in Le Fabuleux of Amelie Poulain. Amelie has been undoubtedly a huge box office smash internationally and recognized at many awards events around the globe. The film is still the most successful French film across the US. Following this massive success, Tautou went on to star in numerous films, such as British dramas such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long Sunday de fiancailles. Also, she starred with Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
