Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on November 12, 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and is the only person to be awarded 10/10 marks at an Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics instructor who was later Comaneci's coach who first came across Comaneci when she was just six years old. In 1969, she took part at the Romanian Junior Championships and placed 13th. In 1970, she won the title. Three gold medals were awarded in her very first contest at a junior Olympic meet in 1972 that was held by communist bloc countries. In 1973 and 1974, she was the junior all-round champion. In 1975 she was awarded four golds and one silver medal in her debut senior international contest. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. The first female ever to perform reverse double saltos after dismounting from an unbalanced parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen, Carol Wayne began working in the entertainment industry performing as figure skater. Together with her younger sister Nina Wayne she was part of a show that traveled called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol was a part of the entertainment industry during her teenage years. She began her career by joining her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling show of entertainment. Ice Capades was a show that featured skating on ice by actors.
