Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born August 20 1974 Aviano Italy) American actress, particularly acclaimed for her critically acclaimed performance of charming and naive characters. Adams was born in Italy and her father was with the U.S. military and she lived within Castle Rock Colorado as one of seven children. The early 1990s were when Adams began dancing professionally for the Boulder Dinner Theatre as well as the Country Dinner Playhouse. In the following year in Minnesota, at a local theatre she was chosen to be a part of the mock documentary about beauty contests called Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her screen debut was a huge success where she played an obnoxious but friendly contestant, Janet relocating to Los Angeles where she began an acting career professionally. She was married to actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 until September 1962, and was her mother to Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh, who was introduced to her by actor Norma Shearer Leigh signed a deal with MGM to start her film career star in the late 1940s. She starred in a number of popular films during the next decade, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (from 1960) as well as Living It Up (1954) which starred Martin Lewis.
